Farewell to John and Larry

Farewell to John and Larry

Pictured here are Prevailance’s founders, Larry Slade (left) and John Owens (right), as they bid farewell to those gathered at the company Christmas party. At the end of 2021, John and Larry will retire from Prevailance. They founded Prevailance in 2005 in a rented racquetball court in Virginia Beach, VA. Over the course of the next 16 years, they built Prevailance with unsurpassed passion and unlimited energy, guided only by a set of core values that form the foundation of our company today: Teamwork, Passion, Integrity and Creativity. Unquestionably, they will be missed, but their legacies endure in all that Prevailance represents today and all that they set Prevailance up to be in the future. As a token of our appreciation, the company’s end of year awards will bear their names. The John M. Owens, Jr. Magellan Award will be presented to the Prevailance employee who not only envisions the art of the possible, but lays the course and embarks on the journey to see it through. The Lawrence R. Slade Prevailance Award will be presented to the employee who best advances the customer’s mission and thereby enhances the Prevailance brand. Thank you both for all that you have done for this company and for those who continue to make Prevailance great. We wish you both peace and happiness in your next chapters. Fair winds and following seas!
