After 14 years of dedicated service to Prevailance, Inc., Dave Long is transitioning from his position as Deputy Operating Officer, turning over the role to Ron Freeman effective September 1, 2026. Dave will officially retire from Prevailance on September 30, 2026.
Dave joined Prevailance in August 2012 following a distinguished 28-year career in the United States Navy as a Senior Security Expert and Limited Duty Officer. During his tenure with Prevailance, Dave initially supported the company’s Antiterrorism Force Protection (ATFP) mission, serving as Program Manager from January 2013 through March 2022. In March 2022, he transitioned to the role of Deputy Operating Officer, where he provided leadership and operational management and support across the company and helped guide Prevailance through continued growth and change.
Following five years with Prevailance, Ron Freeman has assumed the Deputy Operating Officer position from Dave after serving as the Program Manager of the Fleet Deployment Training Program Support (FDTPS) contract. Ron brings 28 years of United States Navy experience to his new role where he was commissioned as an Operations Technician through the Limited Duty Officer Program.
The transition represents both the conclusion of an important chapter for Prevailance and the beginning of the next. Dave leaves behind 14 years of commitment, leadership, and contributions to the company, while Ron brings proven program management experience and a strong understanding of Prevailance’s operations to the Deputy Operating Officer position.
Prevailance thanks Dave for his many years of dedicated service and leadership and wishes him and his family all the best as he begins his retirement. At the same time, Prevailance congratulates Ron on his promotion and looks forward to his continued leadership and contributions in his new role.
