This morning, Rich Wood presented Julie Swanson, President of the VAW/VRC Officers’ Spouses’ Association, with a charitable donation to support their Memorial & Merit Scholarship Fund. The Fund offers memorial scholarships to the children of aviators who have lost their lives serving our E-2/C-2 communities, and merit scholarships to all dependents of VAW/VRC squadron members. Rich was an instructor at VAW-120 in 1993 when ten of his fellow aviators were killed in the E-2C Hawkeye mishaps, leading to the foundation of this Fund. We are proud to give back to an organization that honors our veterans and their families with such valuable opportunities. Thank you, Julie, for all your hard work!
